The Law Of Attraction, Awesome or Bullspit?

In the world of self-help there has been no bigger theme then the Law of Attraction. I'm sure by now you've all heard about it. The book, "The Secret" really opened up a lot of people to it. But, it's actually been talked about, used and debated about for eons.

But, is it really all that it's cracked up to be or is it all just a big pile of bullspit?

Or, is it both depending on how you look at it?

I'd say the latter.

The way that most people tend to use this law is a waste of time.

Most people read a book on it and then they follow this type of procedure:

I'm going to set my intention for what I want, let the universe know I'm ready for it.

Now that I've set my intention I'm going to send a lot of happy, positive and loving thoughts towards the goal.

Alright, I've done that so I'm now going to sit on my ass and let the universe hand deliver what I want. I've done my part, now it's the universe's job.

And this is when it becomes bullspit.

Let's face it, if you good set out an intention to make $1,000,000.00 or to lose your beer belly, or what ever it is that you want and magically get it everyone in the world would be ripped and wealthy.

However, that's not how the universe works.

Everyone seems to forget that the next part of the Law of Attraction is to take action and follow the Law of Practice.

In other words, you set your intention, send good thoughts, then you go out there and work you ass of to get what you want.

When the universe gives you inspiration on how to get what you want, you don't think about it, you take it by the balls and run with it.

You want to make a million dollars and have a thriving home business, great. Set your intention and then take the action to find and/or create the circumstances that you need to become a millionaire.

You want to lose your beer belly and see your abs. Start wolfing down the protein, screw the carbs, and lift a bunch of heavy crap. In your off time feel free to sprint some hills.

The Law of Attraction does work, but it's not a magic pill. It requires you to put in the work to create your world and to have you actively participate in it.
